OTIS MOXEY Otis Moxey is a young, Bahamian Artist who has been painting for the past 12 years. He has mastered a variety of mediums such as watercolor, pastels, colored pencils and charcoal. JONATHAN BETHEL Jonathan is a relatively new Artist. Using acrylic paint as his medium, he explores a wide array of subjects, such as historic Bahamian homes and landmarks, colorful native plants, and of course the luminous waters of The Bahamas.
EDDIE MINNIS Bahamian artist EDDIE MINNIS was born on October 14th, 1947. He has worked in a number of mediums including ink, watercolours and pastels, but he now specializes in oil painting. NICOLE MINNIS Bahamian Artist Nicole, works mainly in oils. In her paintings, she tries to capture the beauty of the Bahamian people enjoying natural, everyday activities. ROSHANNE MINNIS Bahamian Artist Roshanne paints in oils and soft pastel. Her chief interest has been figure studies of local people in natural settings. She also enjoys nature studies and is fascinated by the beautiful Bahamian waters. RITCHIE EYMA Bahamian Artist Ritchie Eyma was born in Nassau in 1967 and grew up and was schooled in Haiti. I had an opportunity to absorb the rich heritage of Haitian art, which far transcends the colorful primitive art familiar to tourists.
LOUIS CHUCK Artist Louis Chuck was born in Jamaica on the 4th November, 1952. He attended the Mico Teacher's College in 1974, and graduated in 1977 as a teacher of Art and Crafts. He paints in Oils, Acrylics and Water Colors. ALVIN MOSS Mr. Alvin Frederick Moss (Artman), the craftsman and artist, was born in New Providence on the 8th January, 1962. The Artist uses acrylic paints rather than oils. ANN RIDGE-KEMP Ann Ridge-Kemp is a renowned Bahamian Artist specializing in Bahamian landscapes and architecture. JOAN MANN Artist Joan Mann was captivated by the colors of the sea, sky, and the beauty of the Exuma Cays. Her watercolors and acrylics share this beauty with the viewer. RICARDO KNOWLES After ten years of prolific work in The Bahamas, Ricardo Knowles lives as a professional painter in France, enlarging his established reputation as master of tropical islandscape, to that of an internationally regarded mixed-media and Commission Artist. AMOS FERGUSON Born in 1920 in Exuma, Amos Ferguson currently lives in Nassau, Bahamas. He recognizes his artistic talent as a gift from God. CHAN PRATT Bahamian Artists, Chan Pratt has emerged a distinctive talent. His work captures the regional flavour of the many-faceted Bahamian culture. BUSTER HALL Artist Buster Hall paints primarily in oil, water colours and acrylics. His subject matter includes landscapes, seascapes and portraits. SONIA ISAACS Sonia Isaacs is a native of Nassau, N.P. Sonia has extended herself past the canvas. She also works on unglazed pottery with scenes depicting the culture of her Bahamas.
WILLIAM (BILL) JOHNSON Inspired by the Bahamian waters, Artist William Johnson, Jr. has mastered a scientific illustrator's style for capturing the natural beauty of this tropical paradise. THIERRY LAMARE Thierry Lamare began experimenting with watercolour during his first visit to the Bahamas in 1985. His controlled technique treats watercolour almost as oil paint, building layer upon layer, providing luminosity and depth to his work.
ANTONIUS ROBERTS Antonio is most known for his use of graphite and oils. He especially likes graphite as "it reveals the beauty of the light and the shadow."
ERIC ELLIS Bahamian born Artist, a native of Steventon, Exuma. In 1984, he won the Youth Award for being the most outstanding youth in culture in that year. PHIL CAPEN Born in 1940 in northern Michigan, Phil Capen developed an interest in art early in life. MAX TAYLOR Max Taylor was born on the Island of New Providence and currently lives and works in Nassau, The Bahamas. By experimenting as a young artist, even before going to the Arts Student League of New York, his development was already ingrained. MALCOLM RAE Malcolm Rae is a self-taught Artist who has been painting professionally for 15 years, realist tropical images, The Bahamas in all its beauty. DORMAN C.
